Privacy Policy

Introduction

This policy explains how LandlordPro ("we", "the app"; called VermieterPro in German) handles information. It applies to the iOS and Android apps.

Data you enter

Properties, units, tenant names and contact details, rents and payments, deposits, expenses, receipt photos, statements and settings are stored in a local database on your device. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes this data from the device. Tenant data is personal data of your tenants; you are responsible for handling it lawfully as a landlord.

Advertising (free version)

The free version shows banner ads from Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and process data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and ad interactions, subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not receive this data.

• Consent (UMP): where required, for example in the EEA and UK, the app shows Google's consent form before requesting ads.
• iPhone (ATT): the app asks whether you allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, ads can still appear but are not personalized by tracking.
• Android: ads use the Android advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device settings.
• iPhone Pro: if you buy LandlordPro Pro, ads are not shown and the consent and tracking prompts are skipped.

Analytics and crash reports (Android only)

The Android app includes Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google). They may collect app usage events, crash logs, device and OS information and an app instance identifier, to help us fix crashes and understand how the app is used. The app also contains the Firebase Cloud Messaging component. Collection is switched on after the consent flow where it applies. See Firebase privacy information. The iPhone app has no such SDK.

Purchases (iPhone)

LandlordPro Pro is processed by Apple (App Store) under Apple's terms and privacy policy. We receive no payment details. The app checks your purchase status with the App Store. The Android app offers no purchase.

Permissions

• Notifications: for rent-due reminders you turn on. They are scheduled on the device.
• Camera and photos: only when you photograph or choose a receipt. Text recognition runs on the device.
• Contacts: only if you choose to fill in a tenant from your contacts.
• Biometrics: for the optional app lock.
• iPhone only: App Tracking Transparency prompt, as described above. Android only: internet and network state for ads and Firebase.

WhatsApp reminders, backups and export

A rent reminder opens WhatsApp with a prepared message; it is sent only if you send it, and then WhatsApp's terms apply. Backup files and PDFs go where you save or share them. We never receive them. Backup files are plain, not encrypted, so keep them safe. On Android, your device's system backup (Google) may also include app data, depending on your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

We hold no personal data about you or your tenants in our own systems, so there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. For data handled by Google for ads, use Google's controls and your device settings. Under the GDPR you may contact us or your data protection authority with any request or complaint.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
